A full review of the 2023 Cycling Season
What can I say about 2023? Well, it was a wonderful season to begin with. Down the road I made a goal which was to reach 4500 miles. I remember telling myself that it will take me until December to reach it. I remember starting the year slow because I honestly hate riding indoors because is so boring and just gets on your nervous. Riding more than that 30 minutes indoors feels like you are in a spaceship because it takes days and months to reach your destination. I could ride a full story of the 2023 season, but at the end of the day. I ended up reaching my goal on Halloween and as of now I’m closing to reaching 5500 miles! I also rode many hills this year. Sadly, I couldn’t reach my goal which was 200,000 ft of climbing but I am happy. Next year will be full of amazing rides. It looks like I will be ending with 170,000 ft of climbing which isn’t too bad.
After 8 months of hard work. I’ve reached an average of 100> Watts!
September 14, 2021! It feels so great to finally reach that goal you’ve tried so hard to get. I’m so happy because all the hard work has paid off. I’m starting to realize that I can maintain the pace of 18MPH to 20MPH with full effort within 2-3 minutes. I couldn’t do that two months ago and now I can. I can’t wait to go on the road and see my progress. Hills probably be a little easier to climb. My next goal is to get 130>. That will probably take weeks or months, but with Patience I can do it:)
First bike ride in Orono, Maine :)
On Friday, I took a ride in Orono, Maine! It was a 32.94 miles where it feature Bangor International Airport, Bangor downtown, and Stillwater ave. Stopped by Pushaw lake to take a picture and send it to my mom. The roads itself aren’t bad. However, some of the roads don’t have any shoulders which make it at some point dangerous when riding bike. Although, with riding with the Garmin Varia RVR315 is a life saver. Just try to charge it every once three rides so it doesn’t die on you. There are hills in Maine and I’m so happy because hills make the ride more challenging and awarding because of the hard and effort you put into climbing a small or big hills to reach to the top. I am planning on riding a 40 mile ride to Hudson, ME in the upcoming weeks. I want to see when I can ride my bike on the road. I’m thinking of doing it every weekends. Will see.
See you in Three months Hamilton, NY :)
Last week, August 21, 2021, I rode 33.43 miles from my house to Knoxbro, New York! An amazing ride and I got to visit some of the Amish towns and homes. I love riding outside the country roads. Not many cars drive by and is just quiet and beautiful. The ride itself was somewhat hilly. Going to Knoxbro has some small hills. When leaving knoxbrok there is a huge downhill to Augusta, NY, a fairly small town. If coming downhill and you go straight there is a really big hill where you can take Skyline Dr and you can go to New Hartford. Skyline Dr is a hard hill to attack from either side. To get to Skyline Dr, you can take Knoxbro Rd, W Hill Rd, Bogusville hill Rd, Roberts Rd, and College hill rd. As I am getting stronger and getting used to the hill I will do these roads next summer :)
My Journey to 42 miles
It all begins with an idea.
On Saturday, June 12, 2021, I took a journey to my longest ride on my bike. It was amazing. I loved every minute of it. My favorite was looking at the amazing areas of my town I have never been to. Riding along the Beaver Creek Rd felt like I was in a movie. At any point I thought a bear would come out of nowhere and I would have to sprint it to runaway from it. That never happen but if it did, it would be so frightened and scary.
